At Homewood Care we provide a mouth-watering menu of wholesome and flavoursome dishes which are served to meet the various dietary restrictions of our Nursing Home residents. Not only are our meals delicious and cooked fresh daily, but they are also built on sound health principles. A dietician reviews and updates our summer and winter menu annually to ensure the our food impacts positively on our residents health and wellbeing.
Providing tasty, restaurant-quality meals is a passion of Homewood’s catering team.
Our experienced Head Chef is trained in the Maggie Beer ‘Creating an Appetite for Life’ course- a hands-on program focussed on using nutritious fresh ingredients, aged care-specific recipes, and managing the dining experience so meals are tastefully presented at their ideal temperature in a timely way.
Wholesome and flavoursome dishes are freshly cooked on site by our chefs 7 days a week. The menu is built on sound health principles and tailored for each resident’s dietary needs and tastes.
An accredited dietician reviews our Summer and Winter menus each year to make sure they meet nutritional standards and positively support health and wellbeing. Residents can participate in ‘Food Focus’ groups so they can co-design seasonal menus.

Lunchtime at Homewood Care is a great opportunity to sit down and enjoy our homemade dishes. Dessert lovers will revel in the variety of sweet treats on offer and be amazed how good low GI desserts can taste!
Our evening meal is a light and tasty and includes a homemade soup for starters. Afterwards, coffee, tea, herbal tea or milo are served to enhance sleep. Between meals there are always fresh snacks, fruit and cool drinks to enjoy.
