We provide full assistance for 82 residents across two floors who need 24-hour nursing care. A Registered Nurse is available 24-hours and is supported by a team of qualified nurses, carers and health professionals.
We partner with a geriatrician, aged care nurse practitioner, and care nurse specialists. Residents also have access to the services of the geriatric flying squad at St George Hospital that complements our medical and nursing services. The squad focuses on ‘hospital admission avoidance’ by assessing if there is the need for the resident to go to hospital or if this can be avoided with treatment at Homewood in the comfort of the resident’s familiar environment (their home).

The physical and mental wellbeing of each person is at the heart of our care. Our memory support program is designed to sharpen the mind and our Physiotherapy service assists to enhance mobility and muscle strengthening and reduce the risk of falls.
Regular exercise programs get our residents ‘moving & grooving’.
Our activity programs focus on engaging individual and group social experiences, where possible involving family and friends. We are involved in the local community and residents enjoy the frequent bus trips to cafes and restaurants for coffee and lunch at the local clubs.
Children’s groups provide inter-generational activities which are loved by all.

Air-conditioning can be adjusted to suit each resident. Some rooms have Juliet balconies.
Each resident has access to a private telephone. Each bedroom is set up for Foxtel and we can assist you to arrange an individual subscription. There is also a study where you can visit to use a computer and access the internet. A satellite is available for subscription to multi-cultural programs.
Wifi is available to use with your personal devices.
The highly popular program of movies shown in our cinema brings residents together enjoying nibbles and drinks. Choc tops, popcorn, and Happy Hour are always a favourite!
Entertainers and even some of our highly-talented staff bring the joy of singing, dancing and various music styles for the varied tastes. Flash mobs and wheelchair dancing are just some of our fun activities.
The BBQ and verandah provide for shaded outdoor relaxation and gatherings. For the ‘green thumb’ residents and garden enthusiasts, raised garden beds are available to get their hands dirty.

Our activity program is updated weekly to provide stimulating and enjoyable activities. We have regular BBQ’s, outings and guest entertainers. We also provide specialised programs which include art therapy, memory enhancement and palliative care.
Our nursing team assess all residents and plan care around their individual needs. All staff are trained in Aged Care with mandatory education provided each year.
Our team of Therapy Staff are available to provide a wide range of social activities and therapeutic programs. Thus includes outdoor activities with BBQ’s, games of boccia and regular walks to the park.
The Chef provides home cooked meals daily, catering for likes and dislikes and also for specific dietary needs. Home cooked cakes and biscuits are made fresh daily for both morning and afternoon tea.
The Housekeeping Staff work daily to ensure the homes are clean and well maintained. Our staff take great pride in always presenting our rooms and facilities in the best possible condition.
The Physiotherapist is available to develop an exercise program for your specific needs or provide a therapeutic massage for those weary muscles. The physiotherapist conducts regular pain clinics to ensure you are able to move freely and enjoy life pain free.
